The Great Alone was both beautiful and heartbreaking…one of my most favorite reads - ever?! I can’t wait to hear what you think about it when you read it. Demon Copperhead is also up there on my top reads…her storytelling was brilliant. Loved reading this post!
This is the comment I needed. We have the same taste so why on earth does this book shout from the pages how much it doesn’t want me to read it!! It haunts me.
I was in a major “self discipline” era when I read Gentleman in Moscow, and I am glad I pushed through bc it has a very satisfying ending that really stuck with me. Same goes for Covenant of Water.
a friend texted me: “I finished the Covenant of Water and it was the longest and most boring book I had ever listened to”. But she’s audio only and I think that’s makes it harder? (I’ve never read it!)
😂 I DID like it but it’s long, not for everyone, and it takes commitment. I listened to parts on audible / parts on Kindle which I splurge on for any long & dense book.
So many good books and so little time!!! - I hated the list because it's very US centric and there's amazing world literature that was completely snubbed so it was a disservice to call it the best books of all time. It still irks me.

Thank you, Sara!! I can't wait to read it and will definitely let you know what I think.
Gentleman in Moscow was love at first page for me haha. But I agreed with you on literally everything else!

Haha it’s certainly a quirky one. Have you read Rules of Civility by Towles??? No footnotes or anything…it might be the key
This was on one of the lists…maybe two. Ok perhaps I need to read it!
Oooo let me know what you think :)

Well shit! Okay, tell me a couple you loved that were big snubs?! Or if it’s too big a list — you should write yours 😚
That’s quite a plethora of books read. I have yet to read Goldfinch.
So.many.books! Right off the deep end…😘
