Hi. A warm welcome to you!
On The Map is about finding your bliss through openness and exploration. Here we reflect on life in resplendent New England and share worldwide adventures through vibrant, lived in photographs.
I want to inspire you to be your most creative, at ease, fun loving self. Let’s honor our soul connections to places and people by sharing travel experiences, our stories at home, and key ingredients. Hint: this is everything from books and podcasts, to good food, great drinks, and products I use all the time.
My philosophy when reaching a new destination is to take in every ounce of its beauty and imperfections. In the moment living means not contemplating over what something (or someone!) has to offer and letting it unfold naturally and meaningfully. This feeling extends beyond travel and transcends to a life well lived.
Speaking of life. As it moves right along at rapid speed — embracing relationships, family, friends, and your kids (if you have them) is at the crux of this newsletter. It’s not always what I am writing about, but it permeates the pages of life around here!
Let’s start by visiting Cape Cod, Massachusetts where I was born and raised. I can forge beyond the tourist crowds to find the raw, unspoiled, life affirming shores and dunes. Here we will eat the freshest seafood and swim in the best waves.
I’m creating guides x town and so far we’ve covered:
Provincetown // Wellfleet // Truro // Eastham // Orleans
Next, we’re off on a midwinter ski + spa day in Woodstock, Vermont and then we’re discovering outstanding cocktail bars to visit in Portland, Maine. We’re sharing the best way to devour the tasting menu at Earth @ Hidden Pond in Kennebunkport, and what to eat at Boston’s Nautilus Pier 4 or Andover’s Akita Ramen.
[These were outings and adventures, respectively, with my sister, my best friend, my husband, my college roommates, and — myself! Who matters most to you? Are you maintaining meaningful connections with them?!]
We’re going to calmly navigate a short layover through a large European airport traveling with little kids.
Kids are still kids and toddlers are still toddlers no matter where you go! Keep your expectations even and they will probably surpass them. I am infinitely proud traveling with mine and we have so much fun. Kids will be the best version of themselves when you are the best version of yourself. So to that I say: take them everywhere.Â
Gain insights into travelling affordably as a family of four, in addition to a little Airbnb-in’ all over the world tour.
The ultimate bliss?! newborn babies. Mama’s you CAN embrace new motherhood without loosing yourself.
Dear readers, I’d be honored to join hands for this adventure. We will follow our bliss to new destinations, waltz in the moment, and find beauty everywhere we go!
I am eternally grateful for your subscription. THANK YOU!
The Best is Yet to Come.
Well this sounds fabulous. I'm in!
You're speaking to my soul, Kristen!!
